A lot of people think that it's dangerous to fly through the asteroid belt or Oort cloud (a region of space beyond the orbit of Pluto where icy and rocky objects orbit the Sun) because the rocks are so close together.


In reality, the average distance between rocks in the Oort cloud is 1.5 billion miles, so there's really no danger of hitting anything.
