You actually can’t see the Great Wall of China from space!
People say you can see it from space because it’s so big, but it’s not big. It’s long, and there’s a difference.
The Great Wall of China is about 5500 miles long, but it’s only 20 feet wide.
Twenty feet is smaller than the width of an average house, and you don't hear people claiming that you can see individual houses from space, do you?
Seeing something 20 feet wide from space (about 250 miles at the ISS) is as difficult as you seeing a worm on the ground from the top of the Empire State Building!
